St Andrew's Day

Was the day of Alec Salmond's big plan for Scotland. No run, as I was pulling a massive day that started at 6am. Biggest day of the tour so far in terms of stories, or so I thought. What a fizzer. I was expecting fervour and spittle from this over-the-top politician on the day he set out his long-term vision for the nation. Instead we got a limp, dull eyed speech with no clear sound bites. The only fun part of the whole day was the media scrum at the start. Not worth starting early for, and definitely not worth missing a run for.
